The Outstanding Women in Business Award celebrates New Hampshire women who have truly excelled, not only in their professional lives but also as leaders and role models in their communities. While many of the women come from different industries and walks of life, they share several traits: a strong sense of self, a success driven work ethic and extraordinary accomplishments. Their commitment, vision and talents make them true leaders in their field and in their community. 

The inaugural NextGen Award was created this year by the New Hampshire Business Review after learning about the pioneering work of our founder, Riyah Patel and the extraordinary impact New American Scholars is making across the state. NH Business Review’s Associate Editor Amanda Andrews expressed to Riyah “While we’ve never chosen a young person such as yourself for these awards, we were so impressed by your achievements that we decided to create the NextGen Award so we could highlight your work with New American Scholars” 

Through recognizing Riyah, the New Hampshire Business Review hopes to inspire other young people to be visionaries, take risks, become exceptional leaders and find ways to make lasting impact in the State. The Awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday May 3, 2023 at the Grappone Convention Center in Concord, NH.
