Riyah Patel has been named a 2023 Prudential Emerging Visionary by Prudential Financial and Ashoka for her inspiring commitment to improving the lives of others.

As one of the 25 Prudential Emerging Visionary winners, Riyah will receive a $5,000 award to help take New American Scholars to the next level. She is also invited to attend an all-expenses-paid trip to Prudential’s Newark, New Jersey, headquarters for a three-day summit in April where she will receive coaching, skills development and networking opportunities with Prudential leaders. 

The Prudential Emerging Visionaries Award is a national annual award program that recognizes 25 exceptional young leaders between the ages of 14-18 who have made significant contributions to their communities and demonstrated innovative solutions to solve financial and societal challenges.
